Number Theory Down Under (NTDU) 14 will be held at UNSW Canberra City Campus from 31 August – 4 September 2026, bringing together the Australian and international number theory community for plenary talks, contributed talks and discussions.

About

Number Theory Down Under (NTDU) is an annual series of meetings held across Australia and New Zealand, showcasing current research in number theory and its applications.

NTDU 14 at UNSW Canberra City Campus continues this tradition with a focus on analytic and algebraic number theory, arithmetic geometry, and related fields, welcoming both local and international participants.

Programme

The programme will consist of plenary and contributed talks spread over five days, with a free afternoon for informal discussion and collaboration.

Registration

Registration will open in 2026. Participants will be able to indicate whether they wish to offer a contributed talk and submit a title and abstract.

Travel & accommodation

Canberra is served by Canberra Airport (CBR), with frequent flights from major Australian cities. UNSW Canberra City Campus is a short distance from the city centre.

Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. A range of hotels and serviced apartments are available in the city centre and nearby suburbs, within walking distance to the campus.

  • Canberra Airport is approximately a 10-minute drive from the city centre.
  • Taxis and rideshare services operate from Canberra Airport.
  • Buses connect the airport, city centre, and surrounding areas.
  • Hotels and apartments in the city centre are walking distance from UNSW Canberra City Campus.

The conference will take place at UNSW Canberra City Campus in central Canberra. Lecture rooms and precise locations on campus will be confirmed closer to the meeting and announced here.
